Guests are welcome to visit fascinating interactive exposition devoted to the Vyhoda natural, historic and cultural heritage peacefully coexisting around the local narrow gauge railway – a ‘must visit’ on the itinerary of all visitors to Ivano-Frankivsk region.
Numerous interactive nature oriented games and installations for adults and youngest, realistic steam locomotive offering almost real journey along the old route of Vyhoda Narrow Gauge Railway, selection of multilingual videofilms dealing with topics ranging from traditional handicrafts to present day logging and woodworking.
Only here, in the Heritage Centre, one can see the 20-minute interpretation film that takes a viewer through the entire process of the area development from prehistory to the present day, telling fascinating stories about local residents – Boykos, their traditions and habits, the charm of their simple life, and the story of the local narrow gauge railway. The film is being broadcasted in the modern cinema hall in Ukrainian, English, Russian, Polish and German languages.
Here besides hands on exhibition and cinema, visitors also can get information of the local attractions, assistance with accommodation booking, maps and other materials or rent outfits for outdoor activities.
Nature lovers can use basic sets for nature observation available in the center (binoculars, magnifying glasses, microscopes).
The Centre also offers a nature school for young visitors.
Finally, in this universal place, or rather in its shop, guests can satisfy their needs in Carpathian souvenirs, guides and books on the local history, geography and culture, video and audio products. In summer you can enjoy the atmosphere of the past in the Centre’s cozy courtyard, with a cup of coffee or Carpathian herbal tea.
